Welcome back. By now, I guess you will have looked through the Beginners' Guide and said to yourself. "Yep, that looks good, but what I want to do is record something."

Well, this Guide (this is the Second Edition) aims to help you do just that.

I have assumed that you have connected a microphone or instrument to the inputs of your soundcard or audio interface and a MIDI keyboard to your MIDI inputs (a keyboard connected using USB is fine).

This guide is designed to get you started with recording audio or MIDI. eXT is highly modular and there are several ways to do most things. What I am showing here is just one way. As you explore eXT you will find alternative ways. Just go with whatever suits your own ways of working.

This Guide was prepared using energyXT v1.3.6 and my own "Sky Storm" skin.

As before, just one word to the wise - this guide covers a small part of eXT's capabilities.
