Welcome

[ © DarkStar - November 2005]

Welcome to the magical world of energyXT (eXT). By now, you will have a grasp of what eXT can do, but you are itching to try it out for yourself.

This is the Second Edition of the Beginner's Guide; it aims to help you do just that - to get you up and running with energyXT. I have assumed that you have just downloaded eXT and the Beginner's Pack onto your PC and want to know what to do next.

I have also assumed that you are familiar with computer music software and have a an ASIO soundcard (or equivalent), a MIDI keyboard and some audio samples.

This guide covers several topics but is designed to get you going. eXT is highly modular and there are several ways to do most things. What I am showing here is just one way. As you explore eXT you will find alternative ways. Just go with whatever suits your own ways of working.

This Guide was prepared using energyXT v1.3.6.
